The last meal is a tradition that dates back to
KFC announced their newest food conglomeration today, Double Down Hot Dogs. If you aren’t familiar with the concept of the “double down” at KFC then congratulations, you haven’t lost 5 years of your life. The “double down” refers to using fried chicken as a bread replacement. As the light bulbs click on for everyone, you will realize just how terrible of an idea this is. Hot dogs with a piece of chicken wrapped around it as a bun and topped with some weird sauce no one has seen before? I’d love to be able to place all the blame on KFC, but they are merely making a dollar on a concept that has been long going.
Because sometimes, from a place famous for selling burgers and fries, sadness on a styrofoam plate sounds delicious.
Burger King’s Shake-Em Up Fries
Do you like hot gooey cheese on your french fries? Of course, you do, you aren’t a heathen, after all! But Burger King didn’t realize how important consistency with cheese is. Fake Cheeto cheese dust just doesn’t cut it.
You don’t need to make up some witty joke about just how bad of an idea this was.
Taco Bell’s Seafood Salad
Again? Just stop, fast food chains! Frozen fish fillets are the only “seafood” you are good at!
Burger King’s Black Ninja Burger (Japan)
America may have brought you green and purple ketchup, but Japan took it one step further…into a black hole of fast food reject food.
KFC doesn’t stand alone in substituting buns for unhealthy heart attack options. At least DD used something close to bread…
