If you like your action and horror movies with some musical whimsy and satire, you should be big fans of Jon and Al Kaplan. The comedic music and lyric-writing team of brothers may be best known for their viral hit and subsequent successful live musical Silence! The Musical, their unauthorized parody of Silence of the Lambs in which Hannibal Lecter, Clarice Starling, and Buffalo Bill all sing about the serial murder case at the center of the film. The Kaplans also wrote 2014’s irreverent horror-comedy Zombeavers, in which college kids are attacked by zombie beavers.

The Kaplans have also gained a following online for their musicals parodies focused on Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and other action-adventure movies including Commando, Dredd, and Rocky IV.
