Disney and Pixar have built their legacies on quality animated movies that kids watch over and over (and over and over) while giving adults something to enjoy too. In the next few years, we can look forward to more out of these two studios in the same vein. Here are 5 upcoming Disney/Pixar flicks to look out for in 2015-2016.
1. The Good Dinosaur
Due out in late 2015, this Disney/Pixar collaboration imagines a world in which dinosaurs never went extinct. The protagonist is a young dinosaur named Arlo, trying to bring peace to his community.
2. Inside Out
In Inside Out, Pixar takes a slightly different look at the world through the lens of a young girl’s brain. Featuring five emotions, the story revolves around Riley’s attempts to adjust to life in a new city.
3. Toy Story 4
Our favorite series will be back in 2017 with a story picking up where Toy Story 3 left off. It apparently focuses on a love story and is bringing back the original director, John Lasseter.
The newest Disney princess will be introduced in 2016: Moana. The Polynesian princess will have to journey to find a mysterious island while braving the dangers of the ocean.
5. The Incredibles 2
The sequel to the fan favorite The Incredibles is likely to come out with big press and bigger expectations. It’s been in the works nearly since the first movie premiered, but as of now there is little information on the expected plot.
